From Glasgow or Edinburgh head north in to Scotland's raw natural landscapes along the banks of Loch Lomond through theTrossachs National Park. Possibly stop at Inveraray and Inveraray Castle on route to Oban to visit this charming port home of Mccaigs tower overlooking the docks and the famous Oban Whiskey Distillery.

Glencoe, the road to the Isles and Clan Donald Centre

Continue north along Scotland's glorious west coast passing through port of Fort William and in the shadow of Scotland's tallest mountain Ben Nevis, before taking the road to the islands. Stop to see the Glenfinnan viaduct as featured in the Harry Potter movies and the Glenfinnan Monument before taking a ferry to the stunning Isle of Skye where you can visit the Clan Donald centre seat of an ancient clan.

Today explore Inverness, capital of the Highlands, and its castle and museum before heading off in to the surrounding countryside to uncover a wealth of cultural sites.
